Joint Statement

TI Cambodia and a group of civil society organizations are commending the recent agreement, ceasefire, between Cambodia and Thailand to de-escalate border hostilities. However, we are concerned about the situation of 18 Cambodian soldiers who are captured by Thai army after the ceasefire was announced. We are urging Thailand to immediately and unconditionally release these soldiers, citing worries about their physical and psychological well-being based on the reported treatment of two previously released soldiers.
