In Cambodia, Transparency International is represented through the national contact which was officially founded on 5 July 2010 and operates under the name Transparency International Cambodia. The team in Phnom Penh consists of Cambodian professionals who have worked for international and local organisations. Transparency International Cambodia works together with individuals and institutions at all levels including government, civil society, business, media and the wider public to promote integrity and fight corruption in Cambodia.

Good governance is the most important pre-condition to achieving sustainable economic development. It requires the active participation and commitment of all segments of society and Cambodian citizens are entitled to a competent governance system that is free of corruption, accountable and transparent.
